On Friday, August 26, top Media House- Citizen TV reached out
to Tanzania’s bongo heavyweight Diamond Platnumz a.k.a Chibu Dangote
for an interview on their recently launched show- 10 Over 10
Apparently, Diamond Platnumz arrived in Kenya this week ahead of his much-anticipated performance in Meru county. His visit came after weeks of publicity by the Standard Media Group which is one of the main sponsors of his Meru concert.
Word has it that, Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan was to air an interview that Citizen had done with the singer earlier in the day during the 7pm news bulletin.
However, before the clip could air, KTN contacted Citizen TV and threatened to take them to court if they aired anything to do with the singer as they had not been given a go-ahead by the Standard Group.
The clip was however aired after Joey Muthengi and Willis Raburu’s 10 Over 10 show ended.
The legal team also contacted Platnumz manager and advised him to stay away from the Citizen TV’s interview or risk a law suit.
