A Tanzanian man Baraka Elias has been denied surgery in a hospital in Dar es Salaam for being too tall.
Baraka, standing at 7feet 4inch (2.20m), needed a hip replacement surgery after he fell and hurt himself.
The BBC reports that doctors at the Muhimbili Orthopeadic hospital turned him down, saying that his height meant that he could not fit properly in a hospital bed.
The doctors also told him that the X-ray equipment in the facility could not be used on someone of his height.

Baraka who hails from the southern Ruvuma region is believed to be the tallest man in Tanzania.
He is now considering seeking medical treatment outside the country.
Patients recovering from hip replacement surgery need to lie flat on their backs after the operation to keep their hip in the correct position.
