Real Madrid star, Ronaldo, got votes from 55 European sports journalists, to win the Best Player in Europe award for 2015-16 on Thursday during the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco, defeating club teammate Gareth Bale and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann
It’s the second time Ronaldo was won the award, he won it first time in 2013-14.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has won
the UEFA Best Player in Europe award after a phenomenal 2015-2016
season which saw him win his third Champions League title.
The 31-year-old, who won Europe’s elite
competition with Manchester United in 2008 and Real in 2014, added to
that tally at the San Siro in May.
Ronaldo was joined by fellow Los Blancos
maestro Gareth Bale, and Atletico Madird forward Antoine Griezmann, in
the final three nominees group.
